Research at GCTC

Main research directions at the GCTC are:

• Development of selection system and professional training of cosmonauts.

• Development and improvement of medical supply system, training system, post-flight rehabilitation, and medical monitoring of cosmonauts’ health.

• Investigation of manned vehicle crew capabilities to solve special-purpose tasks in space.

• Investigations of manned vehicle crew safety.

• Investigations of validity of both the development trends and scientific and technical support for designing manned vehicles and their onboard systems.

• Designing and development of simulators, educational laboratories, testing, and research facilities of the GCTC.
